Rush Creek Kids takes place during all worship service times and serves to minister to families with children between the ages of 8 weeks old-6th grade. Our goal is to partner with parents during each child’s faith journey. We firmly believe that the family is the primary place for discipleship, and so we provide resources and opportunities for spiritual growth to take place in the home.
Our Sunday morning experience is specific to each age group for their developmental stage and our adult leaders volunteer weekly to build consistent relationships with the children. The Sunday morning curriculum will include a mixture of fun, worship, and small group discussions learning about the values and beliefs of Rush Creek – that everything is about Jesus! We strive to create a positive environment that will make your child feel right at home!
Parent pick up is required in the room with a parent pick-up tag (given at check-in each morning) through 4th grade.
Younger Preschoolers
Our younger preschoolers receive love and care from committed, trained adults. There are many features to put parents at ease when you drop off your child. As children grow older, they begin to engage in games, singing, and hands-on activities that apply Biblical principles.
Older Preschoolers
Our older preschoolers participate in hands-on Bible learning experiences taught by trained, caring adults that serve weekly. Kids love to participate in worship by learning exciting songs, hearing a Bible Story, and engaging in hands-on small group activities that correspond with our beliefs about Jesus here at Rush Creek.
Kinder-4th grade
Kinder-4th grade have both large group experiences and small groups. Each service offers large group time with engaging worship, fun large group instruction, and lively small group activities that teach the truth about the Bible and lasting lessons for young hearts.
5th-6th grade
5th-6th grade have a space specific to them that allows them to worship, participate in large group, and have small group discussion each week. We also host a Wednesday night curriculum called Roots at all campuses. Roots is an interactive experience where 5th & 6th grade students will learn all about who God is and how they can grow in their walk with God. This is a fun time where 5th and 6th graders have the opportunity to apply what they’ve learned each week through small group discussions and peer relationships. Your student won’t want to miss it!
Roots meet Wednesday nights during the school year from 6:30-8:30pm at our Green Oaks, Mira Lagos, and Mansfield West campuses. This school year we will not meet on October 30, November 27, December 18, December 25, January 1, March 11. If you have questions regarding this program, please contact your campus’ Children’s Minister.
To attend any of the following groups for the first time, please simply visit one of the check-in stations to fill out a Connection Card and then our team will help direct you to the correct location for your child. We hope to see you and your family soon!
