Jordan’s Story

“I grew up in a Christian based home as an adoptee from China. I accepted Christ at a very young age knowing that Jesus was the only gateway to heaven. However, at that age, I didn’t quite understand what it meant to maintain a strong relationship with Christ or to grow with Him personally. I struggled on finding my identity in Christ all through grade school and I started to question what Christ’s death meant to me. I knew He died to save all and clean us from our sins but I wonder what it meant to me on a personal level. I later realized that Christ died for us not to be stuck in our shame, guilt, or hurt. No, He died for us to be set free from those and to experience joy, love, peace, and eternal life. Of course, there is more to my story that I have not shared but my story is still being written and I am not done sharing it.”
