Kids Minister
Description

RUSH CREEK VISION STATEMENT: We are forerunners of the faith, united, to help people find and follow Jesus.
PURPOSE:
This position will be assigned to a specific campus and work on a team of kid’s ministers to lead and guide our church’s families. The kid’s minister will support the Family Team in equipping parents to build stronger families and disciple kids to be fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ, and shepherd teams of servant leaders for ministry excellence.

Responsibilities

• Help parents become the primary faith leaders in their children’s lives
• Recruit and Disciple Servant Leaders
• Set up and maintain a leadership structure to ensure care and accountability for every leader.
• Shepherd leaders through relational connection for spiritual growth and ministry excellence.
• Develop, review, edit, distribute, and communicate age-appropriate Biblical curriculum
• Help plan and execute special events and other tasks necessary to facilitate ministry programming.
• Lead children to encourage their spiritual growth.
• Interact with children and families during Sunday services
• Develop positive relationships with children and their parents.
• Help recruit, train leaders, plan and execute Wednesday night programming for 5th and 6th graders
• Create and maintain social media and email for families
• Develop and maintain workflows
• Create and Manage Budget
• Administrative responsibilities which include scheduling, graphic requests, receipts, spreadsheets for camp and events, and inputting Sunday and Wednesday attendance.
• Create and import computer lessons in classrooms for Sunday morning and Wednesday nights
• Help with campus events
• Prepare, recruit, and lead a week of overnight camp
• Shepherd kids through baptism process- meeting with them and getting all baptism supplies ready
• Help your campus with school partnerships
• Help in developing a family pathway

Qualifications

• A follower of Jesus and have demonstrated faith through full immersion baptism
• A clear call to serve families in the context of the local church
• 1-2 years of experience in kids' ministry or bachelor's degree in related field is desired
• Demonstrate a proven record of exhibiting the following skills and competencies:
o Ability to develop, empower, and lead high functioning servant leader teams
o Ability to work in a team environment
o Ability to problem-solve, use time management, and prioritize work
