Description

Rush Creek Vision Statement:  We are forerunners of the faith, united, to help people find and follow Jesus.

Purpose:

The student minister will be assigned to a specific campus and work on a team of Student ministers to lead and guide our church's middle and high school students. The student minister will support the Family Team in equipping parents to build stronger families and disciple students to be fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ, and shepherd teams of servant leaders for ministry excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Help parents become the primary faith leaders in their student’s lives
  • Recruit and Disciple Servant Leaders
  • Set up and maintain a leadership structure to ensure care and accountability for every leader.
  • Shepherd leaders through relational connection for spiritual growth and ministry excellence.
  • Deliver weekly messages, plan special events, and other tasks necessary to facilitate student ministry programming.
  • Lead middle and high school students to encourage their spiritual growth.
  • Interact with students during Sunday services and through student functions and school events.
  • Develop positive relationships with students and their parents.
  • Provide students and their families Biblical counseling
  • Maintain budget, calendar, and all other administration requirements in a professional manner
  • Communicate regularly and creatively with servant leaders, parents, and staff-at-large all pertinent information regarding the student ministry.
Qualifications
  • A clear call to serve families in the context of the local church
  • A follower of Jesus and have demonstrated faith through full immersion baptism
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is desired
  • Three years of full-time student ministry required
  • Demonstrate a proven record of exhibiting the following skills and competencies:
    • Ability to develop, empower, and lead high functioning servant leader teams
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Ability to problem-solve, use time management, and prioritize work
