The Rush Creek Counseling Center is proud to host an event we are calling the Heart, Soul and Mind Conference. The Disciples asked Jesus what is the most important commandment and he said it was to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind (and to) love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:37-39
With that as our foundation, we know that when we are able to love God fully, then we are better within ourselves and in all relationships. So, we have put together a great lineup of 9 speakers presenting some great workshops!
Don’t miss this 1/2 day event (you will be done by 2:30pm) and it is only $25 per person. All adults (men and women) and older teens are welcome! This entire event is a fundraiser for counseling scholarships for those who wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford counseling. An additional donation is completely optional but if you feel lead to do so, know that we are so appreciative! Hope to see you there!
The Conference will be February 5th at our Green Oaks Campus.

The Dark Side of Spiritual Giftedness (The Attic)
Jeremias Hernandez, MA, LPC Associate
Congratulations! If you are reading this, you have spiritual gifts! Sometimes your spiritual giftedness can negatively impact your relationships. Have you lost friendships as a discerner? Are you taken advantage of or underappreciated as a giver? Is all your energy spent as a servant? Does the disappointment of being a leader pour into other relationships? Do people get tired of your constant input as a teacher? Is your marriage hurting because your giftedness clashes? Together we will explore the relational implications and interpersonal dynamics of being spiritually gifted. We will also work to reframe how we see giftedness, how to harness it, and how it should play out in everyday life.

Seeing God See You (Family Theater)
Audra Dahl, MA, LPC-S
Most people at some point in their lives have felt alone in the desert and like God doesn’t even see them. I know I have. Gen. 16 tells a story of Abram, Sarai, and Hagar. Abram and Sarai’s sin got them in deep trouble and today we are still experiencing the consequences of that sin. Hagar’s faithfulness saw her through because she knew God saw her. Let’s look at practical ways to know God sees you.
