Shreek on the Creek is right around the corner! This a great outreach event for your community so start inviting your family, friends, and neighbors to come with you to 1 of our 5 Shreek locations around the metroplex. There will be fun for all ages and you will get to enjoy bounce houses, games, food, live music, petting zoo, and much more all for FREE! Candy is needed and we would appreciate if your family would like to donate a bag or two of candy towards this event. You can bring your candy to your campus location and place it at the designated drop off spot. Many volunteers are needed to help Shreek be the most fun fall event for our community. Because of the generosity or our church through unleased, Rush Creek was able to put on a free weekend for our 1st-6th graders called BEST WEEKEND EVER. And what an amazing weekend we had here at Rush Creek! We hosted over 500 kids and over 300 leaders from all campuses. We saw God do great things in the hearts of these kids and we are so excited to see how He will continue to work. We had 25 kids talk to someone about their faith and 12 kids make a decision for the first time to follow Christ. We are so thankful for the incredible leaders, staff, and church families that made this event possible. We couldn't have done it without such great support. We know God is still working in hearts and will continue to pray that kids would be drawn near to Him. We already can’t wait for Best Weekend Ever 2019!! #rcunleashed
How wonderful it is that we have, and will continue to, celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is such a blessing! It’s no coincidence that Easter is celebrated in Spring. For our Lord has designated a time and season for all things. In nature, we observe the transformation from winter (cold and barren) to spring (hope, renewal, rebirth). Our great and powerful God (Elohim) conquered the darkness and barren grin of death and rose again on the third day to bring hope, renewed and eternal life to those reborn in spirit. Praise be to God! His MIGHTY omnipresence is seen in all things…in all of His creation.
In the month of April, Children’s Ministry has some fun and important events for your children. If you haven’t heard already, Rush Creek follows the Faith Path Steps. The Faith Path was created as a step-by-step plan to help you be intentional as you prepare for key faith milestones and foster spiritual disciplines in your child’s faith journey. If you would like to get your hands on some excellent Faith Path resources, please stop by the children’s check-in desk at your local campus. On Sunday, April 22nd, we will be hosting Parent Dedication Orientation from 5-7 PM at the Green Oaks campus. Parent Dedication is simply making a commitment to raising your child in a Christ-centered home. We would love for you to sign up for this event!
Don’t forget, with the Faith Path Steps come incredible faith decisions. I’m talking about Salvation and Baptism! When your child trusts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, create a time of celebration and guide your child into believer’s baptism. We would love to have a conversation with you and your child if you feel she is ready. Baptisms will be at a campus near you very soon! If you have any questions, please email us at
. Happy Spring!
