The Children’s Ministry at The Church on Rush Creek serves to minister families with children between the ages of 8 weeks old-6th grade. Our goal is to partner with parents during each child’s faith journey. We firmly believe that the family is the primary place for discipleship, and so we provide resources and opportunities for spiritual growth to take place in the home.

Our Sunday morning experience is specific to each age group for their developmental stage and our adult leaders volunteer weekly to build consistent relationships with the children. The Sunday morning curriculum will include a mixture of fun, worship, and small group discussions learning about the values and beliefs of Rush Creek – that everything is about Jesus! We strive to create a positive environment that will make your child feel right at home!

Our Wednesday evening experience, called Roots, is specifically for 5th and 6th graders. It is an interactive experience where students will explore who God is, who they are, and how they can live it all out in their lives. Students will be encouraged to have fun as they deepen their relationship with God! They will also have the opportunity to apply what they've learned each week through small group discussions and peer relationships. Another fun part of the Roots program is a segment we call LifeSkills—where students will learn practical skills they'll use everyday. Your student won't want to miss it!

To attend for the first time, please simply visit one of the Check-In stations to fill out a Connection Card and then our team will help direct you to the correct location for your child. We hope to see you and your family soon!

Spring is in the Air

Posted by Rush Creek Children on

How wonderful it is that we have, and will continue to, celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is such a blessing! It’s no coincidence that Easter is celebrated in Spring. For our Lord has designated a time and season for all things. In nature, we observe the transformation from winter (cold and barren) to spring (hope, renewal, rebirth). Our great and powerful God (Elohim) conquered the darkness and barren grin of death and rose again on the third day to bring hope, renewed and eternal life to those reborn in spirit. Praise be to God! His MIGHTY omnipresence is seen in all things…in all of His creation.

In the month of April, Children’s Ministry has some fun and important events for your children. If you haven’t heard already, Rush Creek follows the Faith Path Steps. The Faith Path was created as a step-by-step plan to help you be intentional as you prepare for key faith milestones and foster spiritual disciplines in your child’s faith journey. If you would like to get your hands on some excellent Faith Path resources, please stop by the children’s check-in desk at your local campus. On Sunday, April 22nd, we will be hosting Parent Dedication Orientation from 5-7 PM at the Green Oaks campus. Parent Dedication is simply making a commitment to raising your child in a Christ-centered home. We would love for you to sign up for this event!

Don’t forget, with the Faith Path Steps come incredible faith decisions. I’m talking about Salvation and Baptism! When your child trusts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, create a time of celebration and guide your child into believer’s baptism. We would love to have a conversation with you and your child if you feel she is ready. Baptisms will be at a campus near you very soon! If you have any questions, please email us at  .  Happy Spring!
