What to Expect

What should I wear?

We dress casual. We believe what a person looks like on the outside is not nearly as important as what is on the inside. At The Church on Rush Creek you will see blue jeans, khakis, dresses, and skirts. Dress however you feel comfortable.

What are your services like?

We strive to create an environment for worship where people are encouraged to experience the presence of God. Our music style is an expression of contemporary culture yet is driven by lyrics that reflect our reverence towards an awesome and holy God. Our messages are Bible based, creative, and offer practical insights to relevant issues that concern everyone. We want your worship experience at The Church on Rush Creek to be one of the best hours of your week!

What about my children?

When you first enter the building, look for the children’s check in station, fill out a connection card, and our leaders will guide you and your children to the appropriate room for the first time!

Our Younger Preschoolers receive love and care from committed, trained adults. There are many features to put parents at ease when you drop off your child. As children grow older, they begin to engage in games, singing, and hands-on activities that apply Biblical principles.

Our Older Preschoolers participate in hands-on Bible learning experiences taught by trained, caring adults that serve weekly. Kids love to participate in worship by learning exciting songs, hearing a Bible Story, and engaging in hands-on small group activities that correspond with our beliefs about Jesus here at Rush Creek.

Kinder-4th grade have both large group experiences and small groups. Each service offers large group time with engaging worship, fun large group instruction, and lively small group activities that teach the truth about the Bible and lasting lessons for young hearts.

5th-6th grade have a space specific to them that allows them to worship, participate in large group, and have small group discussion each week. We also host a Wednesday night curriculum called Roots at all campuses. Each week, this includes a specific lesson from the Bible as well as interactive games, life skills, and scripture memorization games.

Parent pick up is required in the room with a parent pick-up tag (given at check-in each morning) through 4th grade. Feel free to email with any specific questions you may have; we hope to see you this Sunday!

Where does my teenager plug in?

We want RUSH CREEK STUDENTS to be different from the average teenager and to experience the extraordinary life that God has given to them in the work of Jesus Christ. For this to happen, it's essential for RUSH CREEK STUDENTS to: Gather in worship (Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30pm & Sundays in the Main Service). Grow in a Student LifeGroup. Go in a ministry at the church (through Servant's Heart Program) and into their school with the awesome news of Jesus. Email for more info or to sign up for Student LifeGroups and Servant's Heart.

Do you have Sunday School?

The short answer is “No”. Sunday morning is built around three priorities: worship, children, and serving. In order to do all three well, we moved our morning bible studies to evening and mid-week LifeGroups. LifeGroups are groups of 8-12 people getting together to do life together.
