Counseling & Real LIFE Minister

Sharon joined the counseling center in June 2004 as the only counselor with one support group which has grown to 4 counselors and 11 support groups.  Sharon received her undergraduate degree in Education from East Texas State University, her Masters of Art in Counseling from Liberty University and is currently working on her PhD in Psychology with Grand Canyon University.   

Sharon now serves as Minister of Real LIFE at The Church on Rush Creek  with a vision of helping the hurting to find healing through relationships – first with Jesus Christ and then with the local church family.  She also oversees the Counseling Center as well as Real LIFE Ministries which consists of support groups for all ages who currently minister to over 250 individuals each week.  She has been an active member with the Christian Counselors of Texas for many years as a secretary and state president and is currently involved in chapter development.  She is a LPC supervisor and an Adjunct Professor at Dallas Baptist University.  She enjoys training counseling students and lay ministry leaders as well as speaking engagements for different women’s ministries.

She has been married for over 25 years and has 3 grown children.
